Worked intimately with Marketing and interfaced with customer in detailing the System Requirements, hardware deliverables, and product final V&V (DO-160 & DO-254). Significant experience in LCD technology and application. Specified glass in ‘lay-flat’ form from manufacturer and detailed hardening process for use in Avionics applications. VHDL design experience includes FPM DRAM controller, ARINC 429 comm engine with 16 Rx & 8 Tx hi/lo speed interfaces, RS422, RS485, RS232 UARTS, SPI master engine implementing Motorola QSPI, debounced Digital I/O modules, PWM modules, Watch Dog, and quadrature Encoders. Also ground-up designed 32bit MIPS RISC R2000 (5-stage) processor in VHDL for Masters Thesis, with full raster graphics co-processor in one SoC device.
