Paul works collaboratively with the Elected Council and executive team to provide strategic leadership for the City. He thrives by creating a passionate and ambitious, achievement oriented environment where our community is central and our staff’s development and fulfillment is stretched. He prides himself on having an energetic style of flexible and proactive leadership. Developing a highly constructive culture to achieve positive business impact, this is primarily felt through excellence in customer service, flexibility and a solution orientation. He has a passion for collaboration and working together across the Local Government sector to create a better South Australia.The City of Charles Sturt uses the Human Synergistics (HS) tool to measure and refine its culture. Charles Sturt achieved HS Cultural Sustainability Award recognition for an outstanding culture in 2 bi- annual surveys. He also has extensive experience in Strategic and Corporate Planning and an interest in the development of meaningful performance metrics. He has provided leadership across a range of corporate functions including; Finance, Organisational Development & Human Resources, Information Services, Governance, Risk & Procurement and Marketing and Communications.Paul is a past Governing Council member and the Company Secretary of IPAA (Institute of Public Administration Australia SA) where he was a board member for 8 years, he was awarded a fellowship of IPAA in 2016 and is a Graduate of the AICD. MBA from the University of Adelaide with qualifications in Business and Engineering form the University of South Australia.
