As a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a master’s in Mechanical Engineering, I currently apply my expertise in the NHS, ensuring the smooth operation of essential mechanical systems across a large healthcare site. My role involves overseeing the health of the steam boilers that power the hot water and heating systems, where I conduct daily checks, readings, and tests, including softener and evaporative testing as well as PPMs of boilers and feed pumps. My technical skillset is reinforced by certifications such as HVAC Competent Person, City & Guilds Steam Plant Maintenance, Fundamentals and operations of steam boilers, and Level 2 Plumbing and Heating Installation, among others. I excel in the planned preventive maintenance (PPM) of vital systems, such as air handling units (AHUs) and heat exchangers, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations.One of my proudest achievements was playing a critical role in the successful steam shutdown of an entire NHS site, working collaboratively under high-pressure conditions to restore operations seamlessly. Dipal Patel. This study aims to investigate performance, emission, and combustion characteristics by mixing an additive in diesel at different ratios. When compared to pure diesel, employing this additive blend increases engine efficiency and lowers emissions, particularly NO and NOX without bringing any modifications to the existing engine unit.
