Paul is Chair of RIBA West London and champions the RIBA's national schools and home learning programmes in Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing, Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon.

Tierney Architects is a client focused architectural practice based near Portobello Road, Notting Hill specialising is residential developments ranging from garden studios & home offices, to basements, whole-house refurbishment and new build. Tierney Architects have successfully delivered projects in Notting Hill, Queens Park, Hampstead, Ealing and Brixton. In addition to design, Tierney Architects are also skilled in project management and party wall negotiations.

Project Architect on new private schoold fit-out project located under the A40 (Westway). My primary responsibility was to coordinate a complex design process that successfully addressed major structural, mechanical and electrical, and acoustic challenges. I am also designing an artist's and photograph studio in a former Victorian pub.

Project Architect and contract administrator on residential new-build over-looking Elie golf course on the south-east coast of Scotland on site over historic coal mines. I developed the design with structural input from Create Engineering and managed the construction process coordinating site inspection with Alistair Hawkins Architect, Edinburgh.Project Architect on £1.2m basement excavation and full refurbishment of late Georgian house in City of Westminster, London. I was responsible for developing and delivering this project from inception through to the later stages of construction.Project Architect on £2.5m basement and full refurbishment of a derelict end-of terrace property within the Belgravia conservation area and forming part of the Grosvenor Estate. I was introduced to this project at the early stages of construction to address the technical complexities of this project and coordinate this with the interior design as developed by Hardus Hoon Interiors.

Project lead on several pub projects for the Wellington Pub company preparing and developing design ideas for planning.Project lead on basement and refurbishment of Grade II* listed building on South Kensington.Offering technical and planning assistance on a high-end residential refurbishment project in Holland Park.

Portobello Associates was established in association with Hanson Architects in a bid to offer a wider range service to our clients. As part of Portobello Associates I have successfully negotiated party wall awards on the the behalf of both the Building Owner and Adjoining Owner for works ranging from rear extensions to basement excavations primarily in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and City of Westminster.
