Job Responsibilities: Understand and work with the operational and financial reporting used by each department Assist Department Managers in meeting productivity and expense-to-revenue goals within budgetary guidelines Understand the sales and retention programs for each department Learn how to supervise and mentor employees Participate in Management Trainee orientations Develop interpersonal communication and management skills Attend at least 2 product specific sales or retention calls per department Complete a monthly recap of activities Update the Management Trainee Database Learn, understand and epitomize Expeditors culture Set an example of excellence in every under taking Complete all relevant training as listed on each department’s development map Complete management development training Track the progress of training in each department Understand and assist with the operations of each department Understand the management processes used within in each department Assist with the responsibilities and duties of the supervisor(s) of each department Complete at least 2 projects during the program Attend all department, sales, branch, accounting and management meetingsAchievements in this role: Winner of best presentation award at the MT summit. Developed logistic metrics and key performance indicators for business units that increased productivity by 12% per desk. Automated an entire process which increased employee efficiency by 8% and alleviated employee work load by almost half.
