Branch ManagerWoolwich Property Services Feb 1990 - Mar 1995Brixton First, Then DulwichWorked my up the A23, starting in Norbury as a negotiator and then moving to Streatham Hill as a senior negotiator. After that it got really interesting.In 1992 I was given a go as Branch Manager of the Brixton office which had been newly acquired in the takeover of Prudential Property Services. The branch had turned over the remarkable sum of £9,000 in the first 6 months of that year. By the end of 1994 it was turning over £250,000 with a team of incredible and previously inexperienced negotiators, selling more property than any other Woolwich Property Services branch in SW London Region.After that I moved to rescue the failing East Dulwich Branch, where I completely redecorated the place personally with a budget of £100 and, along with a couple of brilliant sales people, turned around its fortunes before basically getting a bit sick of corporate agency and heading off for a year in India.
