This culminated in a high profile presentation to the Independent National Sales team at the quarterly sales meeting.

Formed in 1989 Responsive Designs is a major importer and distributor of floor coverings (laminate, Engineered & Solid Wood), furniture and home furnishings to many of the leading UK retailers. Turnover £50m.Key AchievementsStore-with-in-store concept - The successful implementation of solid wood, laminate, carpet & vinyl floor coverings into MFI. From original design and presentation of the in-store environment through to a five store trial roll-out!

With a turnover of £100m, Conex Banninger is Europe’s second largest manufacturer and distributor of Plumbing fittings & valves, selling in to the plumbing, heating and air conditioning markets via merchants and retailers (B2B). I reported into the Group Sales and Marketing Director with the responsibility of developing product marketing strategies for targeted retail groups in both DIY (B&Q) and mail order (Screwfix). Key Achievements.Category Management - Implementation of the Plumbing Fittings Category for B&Q which included over 400 products (SKU’s). A measurement of the success of this project included 10% like-for-like increase in sales as a result of new merchandised layout in-store.

Courts was one of the leading furniture retailers in Britain and also had stores in the Caribbean and in Asia. Reporting in to the International Marketing Director, I consulted globally with local marketing teams on specific issues and projects, as agreed with the board. This involved working with directors and exec level teams within each territory, addressing the implementation of controls, procedures and objectives within the business. Turnover £250m.Key Achievements.Best Practice - I implemented and managed the process of ‘Best Practice’ marketing principles within the Courts Group, this improved marketing efficiencies and workplace practices for each territory and where necessary the change of controls and procedures within each market.
