I am currently employed as the Health and Safety Manager (Physical Risk) for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, where I am responsible for all aspects of H&S, including the delivery of training. I hold the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.Previously I was employed as the Fire Safety Advisor working for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, where I conducted fire risk assessments on complex buildings. I have successfully completed the Fire Service College's, Fire Safety Management and Fire Risk Assessors course, as well as the Healthcare Technical Memoranda Course - 05 series Firecode.I also hold the NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.I hold a level 3 in Education and Training that allow me to build, compile, deliver and assess bespoke training packages, both as a presentation and also in a face-to-face delivery format.My training packages have covered the following topics: manual handling, working at heights, ladder inspector, evacuation chairs, risk assessments, first aid, evacuation, fit testing, defibrillator, fire safety, fire warden and many more. This training was delivered to staff, contractors and members of the public alike, in an adult learning environment.I am a Technical Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), and an Associate member of IFSM (The Institute of Fire Safety Managers). I served for 23 years in the Royal Navy, Submarine Service where I gained a vast amount of experience in, leadership, management, risk assessments, firefighting and all levels of security.
