Not to sound like a cliche but I have a passion for IT. Outside of my current role of second line IT engineer for The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, I am following a self-directed learning path for future cybersecurity endeavours. I have held various roles including my current role of IT Tutor and I.T. Co-ordinator for Hampshire Learning in Libraries, Events team member and Library team assistant for Hampshire county council. I'm really proud of my work as the I.T. co-ordinator as I single handedly modernised the use of I.T. equipment such as Windows laptops and Apple iPads using technologies including Microsoft Azure and JAMF. This means that roles for these devices can be changed on the fly as well as critical updates and standards can be applied as well as custom set ups can be made for specific learning needs. During the 2021 Census I also implemented a covid-safe method that allowed members of the public to receive assistance in filling out their census forms.I recently ran a photography business specialising in Wedding photography which not only keept my skills current and sharp but also gives me transferable skills such as people management and working in stressful environments which I can directly apply to my current role. I have been commissioned by the Paul Mellon Institute and also was runner up in the 2020 Hampshire Wedding suppliers awards.I made the decision to fold this business during Covid to concentrate on my IT career.In the past I have held several roles but the most notable was serving 4 years in the Royal Air Force as a propulsion mechanic. This gave me an excellent sense of team work and respect for hierarchy within a team. This also lead to various other jobs such as working for Harrods Aviation (both as an engineer and Planning Co-ordinator) and Huntings aviation as a skilled fitter.
