Achievements and responsibilities: • Reviewing and restructuring the global external quality assurance team. • Implementing and managing change to the operating model for external quality assurance and control. • Responsible for the ongoing risk management of over six hundred and fifty IMI approved centres, nationally and internationally, delivering in excess of seventy thousand assessment products per annum. • Charing the Institute of the Motor Industry’s Compliance Panel to review incidents of non-compliance.• Responsible for the effective management of malpractice/maladministration and non-compliance investigations relating to the delivery and award of qualifications. • Managing projects to implement new or updated quality systems, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.• Maintaining an ongoing internal audit process. • Responsibility for a large team of remote and office based managers and specialists. • Member of key business wide review panels, including: - Awarding Operational Compliance, International Development Strategy, Quality & Compliance and Product Lifecycle. • Training and mentoring managers within my direct team and across the business.
Achievements and responsibilities: • Responsible for the quality assurance of a large number of approved centres in the North of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Middle East.• Ensure quality standards are met in both the delivery of qualifications and skills assessments and independence and fairness of assessment is maintained.• Accurately reporting on centre performance and the risks associated with the centre’s activities. • Identifying any areas of non-compliance, high risk and development needs at centres, producing effective action plans and issuing sanctions where appropriate. • Carrying out investigative visits to centres.• Development of new Institute of the Motor Industry approved centres in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
