Head of Operations for the Miller companies in Asia, served on the boards of the Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia subsidiaries with responsibility for all ‘non-fee earning’ aspects of the business, such as technical processing, claims, management & fiduciary accounting, compliance, procedures, regulatory reporting, audit, budgeting, human resources, IT, interaction with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, taxation & GST reporting, office facilities, and management information.Established a regional operations hub, requiring the recruitment and management of a team of 12.Decided to have an extended sabbatical and returned to the UK in 2013.

Hired as Head of Operations for Asia Pacific facultative, but sale of Benfield to Aon was announced and I was quickly headhunted to join Miller

Technical Director, with oversight of Client Support Services for the CG Fac division in Asia Pacific. I oversaw these aspects of the business through the management of two teams who serviced all offices within the region. Undertook several strategic global operational projects, the main two being the creation and implementation of Standard Terms of Engagement and a tactical Front Office system.

Transferred from the UK Head Office, I established, developed and managed the technical administration functions of the Asia-Pacific region from Singapore. This responsibility included the management of the processing department, compliance and staff training. Additionally, as required, I handled a portfolio of clients, servicing their placing and broking needs.

Placing broker within the London marketplace working on a broad portfolio of insurance and facultative reinsurance business emanating predominantly from the Caribbean and South America.

This post involved detailed and extensive analysis of commercial UK based client portfolios, recommendations for their improvement and the placing of risks to UK composite insurance companies.
