Part of an international team developing an Aviation Hub system (cargo routing & logistics) on the AS400 using RPGIV and ILE, based in Brussels.Developed a Dangerous Goods application that has gone live in the Brussels hub and has gone live in other global hubs, this information appearing on intranet using XML. Developed a system to enable the UK hubs to use the European Hub system by the use of messaging (MQ series).I have also worked on support, receiving service desk requests by the use of Citrix. 'Fire-fighting' (fixing system bugs in a live environment) on a global scale involved working at speed and under pressure in order to get operations up and running after system breakdowns. Working on an FPE (First Point of Entry into Europe) system for Customs purposes and also RGH (Restricted Goods Handling) system for the handling of poisonous and corrosive material, explosives and also livestock. I also spent time with Quality Assurance, producing test scripts, to thoroughly test new project developments.

Duties: Developed software using a messaging system to enable robotic systems in remote warehouses to make picking orders and stock replenishment run smoothly and efficiently for the business. I also helped in the development of a new warehouse management system, working as part of a team and also on my own and in my own time when it was required. I helped in the installation of software and trained the relevant staff at different sites.

Duties: Extracted motor policy and vehicle information from AXA Insurance on their Insure 90 system. As a legal requirement I had to make available this information for a central motor insurance database held by Experian, the credit checking organisation. This information was readily accessible for the police to make instant vehicle checks and other such searches. I also produced instalment information reports for the company.
