To deputise when any Team Leader was absent, at times I was in control of 40 men in the whole Electrical Machines Department on the night shift.

Controlled 30 men working alternate Day / Night shifts in the Electrical Machines Department

Completed my apprenticeship in 1979 then worked in the Cubicle Department making up & fitting wiring looms to Cubicles along with various Electrical ancillary parts.In 1981 moved to Electrical Machines Department where I worked on Traction Motor / Generator Armature rewinds & refurbishment.During this period I regularly worked as Relief Finished Work Inspector & Initial Examiner around the whole department.
