ATG were a subcontractor to KMI Plus which was a joint venture created to implement the United Utilities AMP4 investment program over 5 years (; ) to upgrade and provide new water & wastewater installations to comply with current legislation.ATG provided the design & supply & commissioning of the EC&I installations for a number of projects.I was employed to undertake all aspects of the design from quotation of the initial enquiries through to on site commissioning, including CAD, specification and requisitioning of materials and supervision of construction.Notable projects:Burnley WWTW : A £6.5 million project to upgrade an existing waste water treatment plant by improvements to the inlet screening works and installation of monitoring equipment to optimise mid stage treatment.Winwick WTW : A £6 million project to upgrade a previously ‘mothballed' water treatment plant which treated borehole water. This was achieved with the addition of a membrane filter plant, sand traps, improved chemical dosing plant and a UV treatment plant.Fleetwood WWTW : A £6.7 million project to upgrade the inlet screen works on an existing wastewater treatment plant. This was achieved by installation of 4 new screens. ATG provided new control panels for these screens. The existing Siemens S5 PLC was upgraded to S7 PLC's and this was completed with minimal disruption to the continuous process of treating the wastewater from the Fylde coast.

Previously A.T. Group Airports division, ATG Airports were contractors for the design, build & commissioning of PLC control systems specifically for airfield ground lighting systems. Notable Projects:Manchester Airport : A £5 million joint venture between ATG Airports & Siemens to provide the entire runway and taxiway lighting system for the new second runway, including all lighting fittings, replacement of 4 existing substation PLC panels and design & build of 2 new substation panels and replacement of the existing control tower control system.I was employed as part of a small team to design panels, supervise construction, assist in the software coding for the remote panels, testing of the whole system software on a simulation basis, testing of the SCADA system for compliance and then the whole system commissioning on site.Stansted Airport : Continued development on the AGL control system installed and commissioned by A.T. Group in; this included an extension to the PLC control system comprising of four additional panels. The panels were installed and integrated into the existing system & fully commissioned.
