Submittals & RFI's were maintained using Primavera & FACS systems, inspector reports were reviewed and lane closure/slow down requests were approved per supplemental specifications. Additional efforts included the development and review of pay estimates, change orders, and stored materials. Coordinated utility invoices, progress schedules, concrete cylinder breaks, soil tests, aggregate tests, and other quality assurance checks. Completed project closeouts by verifying contractor quantities, final value analysis, and as-builts.As an Inspector: Performed various field duties including monitoring of field data for Cost-Plus work, inspection of on & off site stored materials, daily inspections, and progress photos. Daily inspections included MSE walls, steel beam erection, leveling pads, drainage and inlet installation, rip-rap, and seeding/matting. The project also included the reconstruction of local road bridges, culvert extensions, 4 service area flyover ramps, utility relocations, reconstruction of a U-Turn ramp, 35 retaining walls, 10 stormwater management basins and drainage systems, 6 overhead span sign structures, 10 cantilever sign structures, and 1 butterfly structureContract 905 [$29M] involved the rehabilitation of the NSI and SNI roadways from Milepost 61.0 to 82.4 in Mercer and Middlesex counties. The roadway reconstruction consisted of paving, barrier repair, bridge repair, and reforestation. Milling of existing roadway and repaving inner roadways was time sensitive due to 905 being the final contract on the Widening. Project included placement of latex modified concrete to repair various existing bridges and the application of thermoplastic and epoxy striping on the inner roadway. In addition, 905 involved critical MPT coordination during several traffic phases of the inner and outer roadways. The project also involved planting of approximately 13,000 new trees and bushes.
