Paul Thornton founded one of the largest live entertainment promotions companies in the US. Ranking #1 in the Northwest, and top ten in N. America for ticket sales, Bravo Entertainment produced over 700 shows per year in 19 states, and owned its own venue chain called The Big Easy Concert House. Paul sold Bravo in 2007 and subsequently launched TAG Presents llc to create and produce large touring events and festivals; giving brands, sports tournaments, and teams, an affordable solution for the festivalization of their events. TAG's client list includes The Honda Ski Tour, Jeep King of the Mountain, Jeep 48Straight, Icer Air, Teva Mtn Games, Circuit of The Americas, Formula 1 US Grand Prix, MotoGP, ESPN X Games, The Dew Tour, and other events which TAG produced for national TV broadcast.As President of the Events division at Circuit of The Americas Paul led the design and management of the Austin360 Amphitheater, which won Pollstar's Best New Major Venue (worldwide) in 2013, and made the USA Today's Best10 Concert Venues for 2014. At Circuit of The Americas Paul also created the Austin Fan Fest (450,000 guests 2012-2013), produced the Formula 1 US Grand Prix and MotoGP entertainment, landed and produced the ESPN X Games in Austin (160,000 guests), produced the inaugural RedFest (48,000 guests), as well as dozens of other events.In May 2014 Paul expanded his passion for sports into becoming a Partner in the Austin Aztex pro soccer organization (later rebranded Austin Bold FC), leading the club's revenue strategy development.In 2015 Paul partnered with The Nederlander Organization to launch Paragon Presents, a concert promotions company in Austin, TX focused on promoting concerts in Texas and the Southwest. Paul has led Paragon Presents in parallel while operating TAG Presents. Paragon continues to promote concerts of all genres throughout the southwest.In 2019 some of TAG's larger events included The Wonderfront Festival in San Diego, the Adult Swim Festival in Los Angeles, The Republic of Texas Biker Rally in Austin, and Mission Fest Wine Festival in San Juan Capistrano.Paul's experience includes: Talent acquisition, event production, marketing, strategic revenue generation, financial, guest experience, and business development.
