Paula Berry, Registered Mental Health Nurse is the Deputy Head of Clinical Operations at Claimont. She is responsible for the clinical and operational management of services, ensuring that patient care is of the highest standard by providing leadership and supervision to the clinical team. Prior to joining Claimont she was Regional Operations Manager and Substance Misuse Lead for the veterans mental health charity Combat Stress. Paula’s nursing career has focussed on complex mental health including NHS and private services, in patient and community based services and prisons. Paula has regularly lectured to the Argentinian veteran and military healthcare services at the request of the British Embassy in Argentina and is considered a subject matter expert on veterans mental health. As an experienced senior nurse and healthcare manager with a history of successfully managing complex mental health care services within operational roles at national and regional level, she is keen to support the development of Claimont services nationally and internationally.

Regional Operations Manager and Substance Misuse lead. I currently manage both an inpatient service and community team across Central England. We are a charity supporting Veterans with mental health issues.

I currently manage a team of Nurses delivering assessment and interventions to clients with substance misuse needs. I am an Armed Forces and Veterans Champion and deliver Alcohol screening clinics within North West Army barracks.
