As the nation was coming to terms with the first Ebola patient in US care, Paula was working endless hours to ensure that their employee didn't face a financial crisis after recovery. Paula's exceptional contribution enabled the employee to receive the care that was instrumental in a full recovery, without insurmountable medical bills. The benefit providers not only chose to cover Ebola, some have changed their contracts in a way that will provide future coverage under similar circumstances. Her efforts have paved the way for other HR departments and organizations tasked with providing staff care for their employees.
