Perform OCTs, FAs, FA/ICGs, scribe when necessary, work up patients i.e. chief complaints, vitals, check vision, IOP, EOM, CVF, pupils, adnexa, L&L, dilate when necessary. Prepare patients for anit-VEGF, & steroid injections.

Responsible for 15 employees, 7 Rural Health Clinics (as affiliated with the Business Office). Managed Patient Account Reps (follow-up), Coders (to code and send out claims), Office Assistants (for correspondence and additional reporting). Also responsible for all EDI, ERA, EFT for a 7 hospital, 422 practice system (This was supposed to be interim until someone was found, but this ended up being my responsibility alone for over a year-including a time when we changed practice management systems). Also during this time was responsible for being the web administrator for ALL employees and payers on the physician's side). Audit and Compliance Reviews, timekeeping, writing policies and procedures in relation to Rural Health Clinics. Responsible for hiring and hopefully maintaining staff.

I was responsible for "fixing" the EDI problems the Physician CBO was having with their payers. I was given a team of four people to accomplish this. I was also web administrator for the CBO. I worked very closely with Leslie Allen in Information Systems. Together we created SharePoint sites to make all of the system interfaces work together appropriately.

Responsible for 25 employees in the Patient Accounts Dept on the Hospital side. Successfully implemented The Cirius Group claim scrubber software system for EFT, ERA, and Billing purposes. Reduced AR days from 61 to 38. Increased efficiency by lowering the number of staff needed to perform certain duties. Improved productivity and consistently met (all except 2 months) monthly and yearly financial goals. Implemented training and education for billing staff

Responsible for 35 employees. Served on Government Contract Team II (Build and implementation of new billing and applications system). Managed Billing to commercial payers to offset the 80% revenue that was Government provided. Organized and led an appeals team that successfully overturned greater than $4 million dollars in denied claims. Served as member of Grant Writing Council.
