Quarterbacked IPO prep, including S-1 business section drafting, research analyst day, and oversight of company’s first audit. Led renegotiation of Vertex collaboration agreement.

Now part of Regeneron, Decibel Therapeutics was founded to discover and develop therapeutics for hearing. - Led in-license of P1 asset; second chair (to CEO) in securing Regeneron deal for 5 yr research collaboration and equity investment.- Led crossover financing and IPO prep. Secured term sheet for $75M Series C. - Managed BD, legal, corporate dev, program leadership & management, corp com, commercial assessments.

Ophthalmology gene therapy company. Member of Audit Committee. Acquired by Biogen in June 2019.

Accountable for the P&L, driving strategy, and prioritizing resources in hemophilia, SMA, and neuropathic pain, as well as collaborating with the Rare R&D leads to inform overall R&D strategy.

Management responsibility for five late-stage and marketed multiple sclerosis program teams covering six brands. Strategic leadership for Biogen's integrated strategy in MS, from discovery and development through commercialization, and across the portfolio.

Led FAMPYRA through EU regulatory appeal, launch, and initial lifecycle in MS; then led ELOCTATE and ALPROLIX through late clinical development, global filings, approval, and launch in hemophilia. Negotiated Biogen's first significant humanitarian aid program, to establish a >10x increase in availability in clotting factors for people with hemophilia in the developing world.

After finishing up Chief of Staff role, briefly led team responsible for providing commercial input into business development and early stage clinical development teams. Then was asked to help found new Program Leadership & Management department.

Worked for the CEO, COO, and later also EVP Commercial on day-to-day management of business, preparing board books and running various projects, including mobilization of organization around FAMPYRA once in-licensed.

Based in Dublin. Launched TYSABRI in Ireland, while growing share of AVONEX amongst platform therapies. Managed sales team and contract nurse team. Led health technology assessment submissions and discussions with NCPE for TYSABRI. Finally learned drug commercialization 101, after a few years teaching 301 level courses.

Based first in Cambridge MA, then in Zug, Switzerland. Served as Chief of Staff to EVP International, managing project to reorganize Europe and move HQ from Paris to Switzerland. Managed quarterly business reviews, international managing director / function head meetings, and the like, plus projects that related to or emerged from these. Partnered with Regional VP to develop standardized approach to brand planning across affiliates, and to co-lead ex-US launch of TYSABRI. Often forgot to build in lunch and coffee breaks for large meetings.

Did strategy consulting to pharma, biotech, and medical device companies - then joined one.

Case Strategy was started by a former partner from Treacy & Company. Consulted for them while attending business school -- mostly, re-writing a popular business book, to translate into relevant terms for a big non-profit organization.

Boutique strategy consulting firm. Rode around in a banana delivery truck in Miami, in the middle of the night. Made Marimekko charts. Still can, but never get the opportunity.

Learned excel, how to read analyst reports, how to lever a beta. Drove around Quebec benchmarking gas stations. Made big spreadsheets to figure out profitability of manufacturing different lines of carpet. Then got to do something similar for the World Bank.
