I started at WSIL right after graduation at SIU-Carbondale. Over the course of my career at WSIL-TV, I have performed many duties. Though always employed in the Production/Creative Services Department as a writer, producer, editor; I have mastered duties in various other behind the scenes capacities such as Newscast Technical Director, Chyron Operator, Master Control Operator, PSA Coordinator, Interim Master Control Supervisor, and Interim Creative Services Supervisor. I left for a short time in the mid-1990s to work as a Traffic Assistant at TCI Media Services, but missed the creativity of my former position and returned to WSIL. The last position I held at WSIL-TV was Operations Manager.In 2023 I made a slight career shift and moved to WSIU-TV, the local PBS affiliate. I am now responsible for Master Control and Traffic. I still continue to help out with studio productions as needed.
