Magellan Companies has comprised 4 separate business entities: Century 21 Magellan Realty, Magellan Property Management, Magellan Consulting and Magellan Companies Construction. Beginning in 2006 with renovations of old homes all around Idaho and moving into professionalizing real estate, Magellan Companies continues to serve real estate needs all over Idaho. As a 50% owner of these companies I got to explore running small business in Idaho. Learning to prioritize immediate needs with long-term strategy was a daily practice and incredibly important to both my own and others livelihood. During this work I was able to test my knowledge, skills and abilities in: *Strategic planning * Staff Coaching and Mentoring * HR Systems and Management * Marketing collateral development *Workflow process *Team building Working for myself all of these years has taught me the value of effective time and priority management, good team process and workflow adjustments. In 2018 we sold the Property Management and Real Estate Brokerage arms of the company to focus in on building and consulting for our clients, while moving our real estate licensing over to other brokerages.

"You teach what you need to know." I am not sure who said this over my years of education but for me, with yoga this has been true. In 2016 I began a year long process to deepen my practice and understanding of yoga. As a long term researcher in healthy living and effective behavior change, I was drawn to yoga in 2012. As I went through a year long 200 hour training at Boise School of Yoga I found myself talking with the studio owner at Yoga in the Hood. In March of 2016 we created a yoga camp for kids which launched in the summer of 2016. When I completed my training I began offering class weekly, during which I get to encourage my students to connect in to themselves and the process of yoga.

CWI is the State of Idaho’s largest community college. My work for CWI was a journey into formal education. While teaching I got to create interactive learning opportunities for students that allowed them to integrate life strategies that produce positive health and behavior changes at work and home. Through teaching health and wellness along with stress management, my passion for reaching one person at a time to inspire proactive healthy behaviors was achieved.

The Center for the Study of Aging is a partnership between the College of Health Sciences and the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs at Boise State University, focused on helping people of all ages lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.My work at the Center continued my work in aging. All through my undergraduate years I worked in some aspect of aging. This continued in graduate work at the center. During this time I worked with leaders in the community in Health Promotion and Policy to explore a variety of healthy aging questions.What is important to living a healthy life? How does that interact when we reach the end of life? What can I do today to live a healthy life and what do I need to do for those who have reached the end of life? How does health policy at a state and national level impact individual health choices? These are some of the important question I had a chance to explore during my work.

During this time I took a few months to interview, apply for graduate school. I met with professionals, conducted research, tested for GRE and determined that I would seek a Masters in Public Administration at Boise State University. Through my research I uncovered a path to further my study of health policy and the effect on organizations, societies and individuals through the Public Policy department at Boise State University.

Non-profit organization dedicated to educating community about lung health and disease prevention.Program Director, State of IdahoAt the ALA I had my first opportunity to oversee statewide health and wellness programs. I gained experiences working with hospitals, schools and volunteers to provide educational opportunities to all ages in the context a variety of health programs. I also got to work with coalitions to pass healthy indoor air laws, in-school asthma management legislation and millennium fund programming. Created and facilitated multiple conferences, educational trainings, and professional development workshops.Was privileged to work with Idaho Respiratory professionals to lead the creation of the Sawtooth Respiratory Conference, which featured US speakers for continuing education for Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, and MDs.

I worked at Capitol Carer Center of Boise thru the duration of my undergraduate degree in Health Promotion. During this time I was exposed to many aspects of long term care. From daily care needs in nursing to social and cultural needs to equipment and supply needs. During this time I developed extensive problem solving skills while assessing how to meet social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical needs for individuals.
