I am a peoples person and I mean it without prejudice. Was a teacher now a mentor. I have students who have been in touch with me for the past three decades. Students still seek me out just to touch base ask for advice or want to feel good. Whenever I conduct a training session I still feel the same excitement that I did when I first started. I can proudly say I am there for family and friends. Like my young nephew puts it "Ask Paula for anything and she will help in someway or the other." This persona of mine holds true even in my other job profile where I conduct specialized tours for international clients across Hyderabad. Been doing this for almost a decade now. Most of my clients at the end of the day say that they are surprised at how quickly they could connect with me as a person. Like one client said "Paula you are refreshingly honest down to earth with no frills. You are one of a kind." I take great pride in the fact that I can connect with a baby and a super senior person and all in between with the same ease.The response that I get from most is a happy smile and genuine warmth. I have the art of making small talk with almost anyone. My biggest advantage that I possess is I listen. I have been told by an acquaintance "Paula I know I could share anything with you and feel less burdened even though you don't say a word"I absolutely love travelling. For me it is a big learning from unconventional sources. I have been on solo trips, trips with family, trips with friends, treks with strangers and enjoyed every adventure thoroughly. My most treasured memory from all these trips so far has been from a person I got to know over a period of 5 days who said "Can't imagine going on another trek without you."I been told and gladly accept the biggest compliment so far "Your house has such positive vibes." I believe it because it's been told to me by a few people. It's not that everything has been hunky dory all along. There has been and will be periods of sadness disappointments despondency upheavals. I truly appreciate and face every situation emotion because you can't enjoy one without the other. But after a certain age, age which brings experience and as time passes the not so nice things become blurred by choice. Whenever I look back on my life I do so with fond memories because some of the best things are in sharp focus and bring a smile. I've been told I have a nice smile so why not use it to feel happy and try and spread that happiness?
