The biggest attribute of my professional career is that I am very organized and am an expert on time-management. I put everything into my calendar, so as not to miss any deadlines & it also gives me a visual as to what my upcoming schedule is and if I need to ask for help from my co-workers to get something done. I am not afraid to ask for help and/or questions, re-prioritize through out the day, am an active listener and try my best to make positive changes. I like to look for efficiencies after I have learned something, for the betterment of the company and evaluate situations as they come up. I am the first person to offer help & I go out of my way to learn something new. COVID-19 has affected so many people, all in different ways. Even though I was furloughed in March, I still maintained my focus on what I wanted to do professionally. But being part of a semi-rural community, I wanted to help in any way I could (safely,) for people affected by COVID. I, like so many across the world, got out my sewing machine & started making face coverings & scrub hats. The demand was high in all aspects: orders for, cotton fabrics, elastics and the fear was high dealing with this invisible unknown. I was lucky that I had a back stock of items, so I just jumped right in. To this day, I have made over 2,000 masks & I still get people reaching out to me for them. One day, we can hope to get back to some sort of normal, but until that can happen, we need to do what we can for one another and hope for the positive.
