Through a journey of Healthcare Administration, a birds eye view of the challenges which faced externs from non-matriculated training programs was disheartening to say the least. The missed opportunities on communities simply because of the decision not to obtain a college degree. The training program began while operating in a HA capacity. The need to equip the externs with the day to day, hands on knowledge of healthcare A-Z was needed. Philanthropic passion has persevered and propelled me to earnestly focus on this Non Profit organization. The goals of serving the community (by way of vocational training) with an A-Z approach to Medical Billing and Coding, software, surgical scheduling, front desk, transcription, ACA, Patient Navigation, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, basic life skills, workforce behavioral Unit, basic office skills. The difference is the Workforce Behavioral Unit. Anyone can be taught the basic principles of Healthcare Administration. Without mental reconditioning to the demographic we have targeted, it can all seem counterintuitive. The mental reconditioning approach is the best way to help change the behaviors that limit the success of such a program. This director has a personal stake in the benchmarks and outcomes of each individual who passed through this program. The trainees are fully equipped to bill, code, file, schedule (surgical), etc, in a outpatient, inpatient, and specialty practices. With a background of Healthcare Administration, Psychology, and combined with an inherent philanthropic nature, these students have all the resources to take the skills taught to a level unprecedented. Political organizations are separate entities but the passion for those organizations are just as strong. Making a substantive change in our communities by empowering women and their families with sustainable and positive choices in an effort to uplift generations to come through training and positive behavioral workforce developments.
