I filed for candidacy, worked hard & became your Recorder on January 1, 2006. During this four-year term, I facilitated the scanning & indexing of all historical archives to provide easy access to searchers. I led the transition to paperless practice by implementing an e-filing recording system so banks, attorneys & title companies could electronically submit records efficiently straight from their offices. As Recorder, I also initiated the implementation of the property fraud alert to notify residents when a document had been recorded in their name.Four years later, I had the opportunity to be elected as your Clerk of Courts. As a previous deputy clerk, I knew I wanted to be part of positive change by once again leading the transition to the paperless practice of court documents, reallocating manpower and tax dollars. During my eight years as Clerk, I implemented best practices for operating procedures and policy while proposing a reduced budget to the county council each year. Serving on the Election Board during this time, vote Centers were established, epollbooks were implemented, & security protocols were designed to ensure accuracy & integrity of the election process. From my past experience as a public servant, I have adapted to each office held while customizing those positions with personal vision and dynamic goals to best serve the citizens of White County. I’d love the opportunity to once again create a high performance, professional, & positive culture at the White County Courthouse as your next Treasurer. Show less
