I studied Architecture and Urbanism in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After my studies I worked as an architect for leading construction firms and later as a lighting designer for Franco & Fortes Lighting Design in Sao Paulo. In 2006 I moved to Germany to do my master degree in Architectural Lighting Design, which I concluded with a thesis on Daylighting in Office Buildings.Several articles on my thesis were published and I became more interested in designing daylight in buildings and the built environment. I have worked with the Arup lighting team in Berlin and in London from 2008 to 2018 where I delivered several international projects, including buildings in the cultural, educational, commercial, transportation, sports, private and public sectors. Some of these projects received lighting design awards from recognized institutions.Since 2019 I work for BuroHappold Engineering leading the lighting team in Berlin and Europe.My passion for daylight and integrated lighting solutions can be seen in my continuous effort to create sustainable and human centric designs.I believe in deeply understanding my Clients and developing the most suitable lighting solutions for them. It is a marriage for a distinct period of time and it establishes a very strong connection which is built on great relationships and trust.
