Hello!My name is Paula Mitchell. I live in the coastal town of Hermanus, South Africa. I am so happy to have qualified as a TEFL and TESOL teacher as well as a CELTA educator so I am extremely happy to be realising my life-long dream to teach, encourage and help those who cannot speak English at all as well as those who would like to improve their English-language skills.Been able to communicate with someone in their language is an incredible gift and speaking English fluently is a vital skill. It gives you the opportunity to engage with the world in a more immediate and meaningful way, be it in your own country or far away.As a teacher, it is my job is to give my students the best education possible, and I aim to do just that! I use a wide variety of great teaching aids to make learning English fun and interesting.I have been teaching English as a 2nd language to 2 young Afrikaans-speaking learners since April 2020 both online and face-to-face, and the results have surpassed my wildest dreams. It is such an incredible feeling seeing their improvement and knowing it’s because of me they’ve come such a long way! I am now employed as an ESL teacher through The Really Great Teacher Company platform teaching English to predominantly Polish students of all ages.I just adore teaching and love teaching English to foreign students, while getting to learn more of their culture and the way they live. I enjoy building lifelong friendships while encouraging students to learn English so they will be rewarded for many years to come.
