I have over 17 years experience as an employee benefits specialist working for Actuarial Consultants and a Major International Brokers. I managed a team of consultants and was the New Business Development Team Leader. I worked very closely with my corporate and international colleagues in order to maximise Business In Combination opportunities and I was the top performing sales person for the last three years of my career. On average I wrote over £250,000 of renewable new fee revenue and also had Account Director responsibility for large existing clients. From 2006 I took a career break and had 3 children. During this time I also carried out some consultancy work for a professional training company. I provided sales development training for a major insurance company’s sales academy. This involved team building exercises, videoed role plays and structured training sessions for its senior employees. From 2016 to 2022 I worked as a Teaching Assistant at Lincroft School a very rewarding role which I really enjoyed. It was great to be working at a fantastic school and be part of a great team.In 2022 I joined Wootton Academy Trust as a Careers Co-ordinator where I am responsible for the day to day running of the careers curriculum and providing support for students. I enjoy being the ‘face of careers’ at Wootton Upper School, managing enquiries from parents, staff, pupils, alumni and employers effectively diagnosing need and referring appropriately.

Most of the revenue I generated was on a fee basis due to my actuarial background. I worked very closely with my corporate and international colleagues in order to maximise Business In Combination opportunities and I was the top performing sales person for the last three years of my career. On average I wrote over £250,000 of renewable new fee revenue and also had Account Director responsibility for large existing clients. I was also required to obtain and develop new client relationships and this involved the initial meeting/presentation to the senior directors and preparing detailed reports on the services which could be offered. This initial work entailed a thorough review of the clients existing employee benefits package and re-broking of existing arrangements.
