Hello and welcome to my LinkedIn profile!My name is Paula and I am a Master's graduate in Organic Agriculture from Wageningen University & Research. My passion for sustainability, climate, and agriculture has driven my career journey, and I am currently working as a Business Developer at Weather Impact, an experienced provider of weather and climate services.As a Business Developer, I work closely with the WI team to identify new business opportunities, write proposals, engage with potential partners, and ultimately drive our growth strategy. Our primary focus is on developing projects that provide climate adaptation services to smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia, with the goal of empowering communities and optimizing global food production while adapting to the impacts of climate change.I am also proud to have had the position as the Head of Control Board of IAAS World 22/23. IAAS is the largest student organization in the field of agriculture and related sciences globally, including over 50 member countries and more than 10,000 student members worldwide. As the Head of Control Board, I was responsible for ensuring the organization's smooth functioning, monitoring compliance with regulations and statutes, and ensuring that IAAS achieves its objectives. IAAS aims to encourage the exchange of ideas, promote cooperation with all students in agricultural sciences, prepare our members for their future careers, have an impact on local societies, demonstrate sustainable agriculture, economics, and food production, and make higher education systems accessible to everyone.Next to my position in the Control Board, I work as a soft skills trainer in IAAS. As a trainer, I have had the privilege of helping students develop the critical soft skills needed to succeed in their future careers, such as leadership, communication, time management, and teamwork. I believe that soft skills are just as important as technical skills and that investing in personal and professional development is essential for success in any field.I am a nature enthusiast and I love spending time outdoors in my free time. I am also passionate about marine sciences and love to explore the sea in Croatia and around the world.
