As a published author and educator, I am particularly passionate about nurturing young minds through my creative works.I am currently creating (writing, composing, producing) a series of musicals which have and will continue to help students and adults dealing with neurodiversities, mental health challenges, bullying, and surviving the many challenges of life.This collection of musicals, entitled "Lucy and Maya", will piggyback with The Child Development Institute and their incredible and science tested program SNAP (Stop Now And Plan), in addition to becoming a tour set to perform across Canada for children and their caregivers/teachers."Lucy and Maya: Diverse" centers around an eleven-year-old girl navigating the struggles of school life with the additional challenge of Attention Deficit Disorder. Lucy’s ADD has only ever brought her pain through her classmates’ teasing and has left her feeling alone and misunderstood by her peers.With a different perspective and understanding of the world, a new classmate, Maya, enters the school in the midst of Lucy’s start to the new school year. Though she does not have ADD like Lucy, her compassion and drive to help turns Lucy and her classmates’ worlds upside down by opening their minds to each others’ struggles in the face of their own neurodiversities.Dr. Leena Augimeri (CDI, Toronto) concludes, "Every child needs to see this!"
