- Investment and Studies’ Department: analysis of economic feasibility of new investment opportunities in all the business areas of the Group, with a focus in real estate, but also involving the Energy and Construction Sectors; monitoring and controlling the development of new projects, analysis and evaluation of potential Assets and Companies’ acquisitions and elaboration of the respective Business Plans; contacts with financial institutions and decision-making under the financing options for the Projects, including the negotiation of long-term loans for the Shopping Centers; coordination, together with the CFO and external consultants, of the sales process of the Group’s Shopping Centers portfolio; - Consolidation and Reporting: Coordination of the Annual Budget and Forecast process; financial and management monthly Reports for the Board; Annual Consolidation Financial Statements and Annual Report & Accounts.

- Participation in the creation and launch of Sierra Fund in 2003, an investment fund in shopping malls managed by Sonae Sierra with an Initial Equity of $ 1.26 Billion;- Supporting the Development and Asset Management decisions, as Responsible for the economic viability of new projects and refurbishment of the assets in operation, for all the target markets;- Elaboration of the Investment Proposals for the Board of Directors; - Coordination of external evaluations of the Company’ assets and elaboration of internal reviews;- Value Based Management (EVA methodology) and Balanced Scorecard annual processes;- Training of multi-national teams (including Portugal, Brazil, Greece and Germany) regarding the projects’ feasibility analysis and the impact on the value of project management teams’ decisions.
