Paula Antonio is a woman, Filipino, and the first-born child. While she understands she is a global citizen, she acknowledges the implications of these roles in her situation, outlook, and development.Paula graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology—a course she enjoyed in the university and understood best outside it. More because of dedication than accumulated grades, she graduated cum laude. Tarpaulins of congratulations in the Philippines for such Latin honor was what she had laid her eyes on during bus rides from toddler to teenage years, only to not identify herself as intelligent as the students who graduated before her being the young adult who received the same recognition in college. She is always searching and is more interested in the transformation of her work to people, including herself. In 2022, she was trained in mental health practice understanding transgenerational trauma with psychologists and fellow interns and conducting ABA therapy with psychometricians and fellow trainees to toddlers and school-age children. In these experiences, she acquired a deeper human sensitivity which she now shares with everyone she interacts and works with in every situation. Referred to as “the wounded healer” by her Understanding the Self and Abnormal Psychology professor and has been described as articulate and nurturing by her Program Director and conscientious by her thesis teammate, Paula wants to be known more for the work she does —and intends to outdo herself—than the title it carries. She is the entanglement of psychology, philosophy, and literature. When she's not wearing the color brown, she's becoming a shade of it.Paula is currently seeking an entry-level position in the fields of psychology and writing. She considers any related job recommendation as support and appreciates LinkedIn connections. She thanks you for reading this through and wishes you a meaningful day.
