Paula Avis has served as an educator and trainer in the science disciplines for over 30 years and is able to parlay her expertise into recruiting, educating, and coaching those in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical arenas. With a heart for people, Paula works diligently to find candidates who demonstrate an ability to dominate in their job placements, but whom also have a sense of integrity and ethics, placing them in positions with highly desirable companies in the industry. A graduate of UC Davis, she has firsthand career experience in biotechnology and veterinary medicine. Additionally, Paula has fulfilled many leadership roles within both the business and volunteer sectors.As a Director, she has experience in successfully recruiting, training, and maintaining a highly qualified staff in an educational, recreational, and service-oriented business. As a highly organized person, she has extensively planned, promoted, and managed many large events for both non-profit organizations and educational institutions. For the past four years, she has strategically coached four different Odyssey of the Mind teams all the way to World Finals level competition, and is currently serving this organization as a Regional Coordinator.
