The church department, an apostolic base of Kingdom Faith has a congregation meeting in Scarborough at the Summit in St Nicholas Street, membership is around 160, although the Summit's footfall is 900+ weekly. It is a vibrant, missional church with a motivated, dynamic congregation, working to make Scarborough a better place to live. Kingdom Faith Yorkshire is a church where people 'Dare to Dream'. The Charity employs 13 people, full & part-time.As a community charity, our most well-known community initiatives include the Safe Haven, Street Angels, Youth Angels & Community Angels. These initiatives work in partnership with the North Yorkshire Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire, Churches Together in Scarborough, BBC Children in Need & Scarborough Borough Council. Street Angels are out on Friday and Saturday nights helping people & looking after the vulnerable. It has proved to be a major help to the emergency services, reducing violent crime & helping considerable numbers of people in difficulty. The Safe Haven is a Safe Base for people. Youth Angels run popular clubs at the Summit and street teams seen great reductions in underage street drinking. Community Angels are caring for the vulnerable in our community. We have worked with other towns as far away as Malaga in Spain to help start other similar local initiatives. The Summit also hosts a very popular Coffee Lounge open every day from 10-4 which has its own separate Crèche, providing a much needed Safe Place for local parents. Four parent and toddler groups - Little Builders - run each week, plus an after school club for primary school children, youth groups happen twice a week and the weekly Cavern Club, a 'youth club' for older people. Later I worked as part of Pastor Clive Urquhart's Leadership Team as the church reinvented itself for the 21st CenturyIn 1999 I also founded GO Generation which grew into the international children's ministry: J24/:7 - Jesus Twenty Four Seven. Elohim Church is an exciting, vibrant Church in Leicestershire, that Kate, my wife, and I planted in 1993. When in 1997 God called us to go down to Kingdom Faith in Horsham we spent a year training and working with a new leadership team. I then appointed Pastor Lynne Eveson to lead the church with her husband Brian and it continued to have a significant influence in the area. I was the youngest Deputy Head in Leicestershire when I was appointed. At Hill Top I pioneered work in science and transformed the behaviour and discipline policy in the school. I worked in close partnership with the Headteacher Diana Saunders and we were delighted as the school became known as a flagship school in Leicestershire.During this time I worked with many student teachers on placement from University. I had a brilliant but very hard working year as Headteacher at Greystoke. I was seconded from Ashby Hill Top Primary School under Leicestershire County County to troubleshoot the school. Greystroke was doing badly academically, socially and financially. By the Grace of God the school underwent a transformation during the year in all areas. Exam results went from extremely poor to above average, bullying which had been rife was eliminated, spiritually the school was transformed and by reforming… Show more I had a brilliant but very hard working year as Headteacher at Greystoke.
