From May 1 until the end of 2021 I worked as Campaign Supporter for the Publishing and Development team at NBG Bible Society for the Netherlands and Flanders, during the introduction of the NBV21 - the new standard Bible translation for the Dutch language area - while promoting Bible reading and life application.

For Open Doors I will be researching the history of the organisation with special attention to the life and work of founder Anne van der Bijl (known internationally as Brother Andrew a.k.a. "God's Smuggler").

Heerenveen

After the takeover of Ark Media by Royal Jongbloed, I worked in Heerenveen as a book publisher for the Ark Media list. I took care of the integration and continuation of this publishing programme and gained experience as a Bible publisher. I decided to take the next step and found a job closer to home and closer to my heart.

Together with my team members I published fiction and non-fiction titles for the Christian book trade. Ark Media was part of Ark Mission, a missionairy organisation aiming to reach a broad audience with the Good Book, and sharing a positive, inclusive message for all people.

I was employed by the Dutch office of the American Bell & Howell Company. I worked in Zwanenburg, the Netherlands, and was responsible for Marketing Communications in the Dutch market. Later on, I became the only 'continental' member of a newly formed European Marketing Team, based in London. I was responsible for the development of new sales brochures and played my part in organising trade fairs. I also published multi-lingual brochures and newsletters in collaboration with PR and Advertisement agencies.
