I am responsible for driving new business opportunities and revenue by direct sales efforts to referral sources which can include hospitals, physician groups, assisted living communities, independent living communities, case managers and other healthcare professionals involved in the senior communities. I create customer relationships through one-on-one appointments, phone calls, emails, creative follow up, etc. Following a disciplined sales process, I am able to build strong relationships and use compassionate listening with community partners in order to help families trust that we will provide quality care to their loved ones.

As the Hospice Atlanta Volunteer Coordinator, I managed all aspects of the Volunteer program which included daily activities within the inpatient unit (IPU), scheduling volunteers to provide emotional, physical or spiritual support to patients and/or caregivers in the IPU or their homes. Recruited, trained and retained volunteers, helped plan special events, solicited in kind donations from community restaurants, companies, etc. Coordinated schedule and managed over 50 volunteers for Camp STARS, a family bereavement camp at Camp Twin Lakes.

As the Community Engagement Coordinator, I helped to recruit and manage volunteers, planned and coordinated fundraising events and solicited in kind donations to help serve and support the organization that serves individuals with Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

Coordinated all special events for this non profit agency that specializes in providing direct services and community-based support for foster youth.and adults with mental health needs and developmental disabilities . Researched grants and fundraising opportunities. Developed community partnerships, recruited and trained volunteers and increased public awareness about all the programs that Creative Community Services does to help vulnerable individuals.

At the Child Development center, facilitated and presented educational workshops for parents. Provided case management for parents who had children with special needs. Initiated and set up the first PTO-Parent Teacher Organization for this small non-profit school.

Hosted and produced live interactive television shows for hospitalized children. Incorporated a bi-weekly music program for patients and families as well as providing musical outlets for bedridden children who had seizure disorders, cancer or other special needs.

Implemented the first Child Life program for this 60 bed Children's center. Developed a volunteer program, organized fund-raising events, and initiated support groups to benefit the hospitalized children and their families.
