As an experienced Construction Documentor, my skills are on full display at Archsign Architecture. The role requires coordination with several external consultants along with fellow Archsign colleagues dealing with Sketch, Design Development and Town Planning. Preparation of detailed construction documents for a range of residential and commercial projects alongside liaising with various stakeholders including the company's directors, external consultants, clients and third party consultants. Have recently been bought on to assist with documentation and coordination of large scale business park developments developed by the likes of Oakfield Hoskin, V Leader and Hexa Group and have recently begun assisting Archsign's SDA team with documentation for town planning and building permits.

Being part of young and growing team of building designers and builders at Meraq has afforded me a place to get back into design and drafting after having spent some time away from the industry to focus on my academic career and complete my Masters of Architecture.Entering a growing team with a strong focus on the design, development and documentation of residential projects, Meraq has provided me with exposure to projects ranging from exciting new builds in some of Melbourne’s most thriving estates to undertaking the rigorous challenges of town planning and documentation of multi-residential projects across various existing suburbs of Melbourne.For the past 12 months, my role at Meraq has been to contribute to the design and, mainly, documentation of new homes as instructed by a growing clientele of building companies who outsource the design and documentation of their client’s homes to us.Requirements of the role include:-A high knowledge of AutoCAD-Interpreting the Residential Development Standards (ResCode) along with Building Regulations and Australian Standards and how to best apply them to each project.-Consulting with external contractors including, structural engineers, energy assessors, product manufacturers, council planners, design review panels of different estates and so forth.-Establishing a line of communication between myself and the builders/clients to achieve the necessities and wishes of all parties involved.-Assisting with the submission of design documents and submission for both planning permits (with local councils) and developer approvals (through appointed Design Review Panels of different estates)-Contributing to the continued improvement of daily office operations, drawings and workflow management.I would summarize my time at Meraq, so far, as one of growth, awareness and responsibility to both my fellow colleguesand the clients we work with daily.

A short-lived role with a small to medium sized practice in Reservoir, which afforded exposure to the ins and out of planning permits for medium density developments and private residential projects, along with design and development contributionsRequirements of the role include:-A high knowledge of AutoCAD-Understanding the Residential Development Standards (ResCode) along with Building Regulations and Australian Standards and interpreting and applying them in respect to each project.-Preparing all required documents for planning permit submissions-Responding to Further Information Requests from councils, -Setting out plans in AutoCAD from paper sketches to begin resolving design issues-Preparing construction documentation for building permits.Despite my time at Ikonomidis Reid being short-lived, it was valuable nonetheless as it exposed me to a higher quality of drawing, project administration and management

Stepping back into the building industry after some time away to focus on studies, my role as part of the Access Team at Porter Davis’s fantastic new office in the Docklands, allowed me to rehash my AutoCAD skills and time management skills. Although only in the position for a short while, before deciding to move on to a more challenging yet nurturing role, where I would receive the exposure to developing plans for both planning permits from council and building permits from building surveyors.

Metricon provided me with the first step into the construction industry straight out of TAFE, exposing me to the vast field of construction, working with one of Australia’s most awarded and decorated home building companies.As part of the West Drafting team, initial responsibilities included organizing documents related to specific jobs such as client information sheets and all information related to specific sites and estates. Driven to contribute with the productions of plans and eager to learn more about the design and planning of the company's vast range of houses, my role slowly expanded to the correction of marked-up plans to learn and engage in the drawing process, whilst learning more about the fully integrated management software used nation-wide by the company, BusinessCraft. Requirements of the role included:-A high knowledge of AutoCAD-Proficient communication and liaising with other members in the team, including other members from other teams (Estimating and Client Coordinators) to deliver drawings of a set quality within company derived time frames.-Consulting with external contractors including, structural engineers, energy assessors, product manufacturers and so forth.-Inputting data and determining time frames for different stages of a contract using BusinessCraftMy main objectives, on a daily and weekly basis, consisted of delivering client's dream homes in a timely manner, whilst adhering to strict quality controls as set by the company and ensuring that the homes complied with the Residential Development Standards (ResCode), the National Construction Codes and Australian Standards.
