Worked with constituents from federal, state, local government, private industry, and nonprofits to develop policy direction, conduct outreach to elected officials, make funding decisions, and develop issue specific reports. Led the Virginia Inter-agency Oyster Team comprised of state agencies, other federal agencies, and non-profit agencies to develop policy and funding directives for oyster restoration and aquaculture. Oversaw the development of the first oil spill response atlas for Virginia and Maryland in 25 years, NOAA’s Environmental Sensitivity Index atlas for the Chesapeake region. Received performance-based recognitions, including a Bronze Medal for Service; Gold Star from EPA; and special recognitions from office directors.
