About Paula Kosin

Part 1. CONSULTING, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, AND COACHING"Helping individuals discover and develop their talents so they can make this world a better place." For much of my career, this has been my mission. I have done this through working with college students in university student affairs, corporate training and organizational development in Fortune 100 companies, my own consulting practice (twice), and most recently, career coaching for a global management consulting company. My senior-level Human Resource certifications (SPHR and SHRM-SCP) – as well as my LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) credential have provided the foundation of my deep and extensive expertise in coaching, career counseling, team building, and strategic planning. Presentations at professional conferences – state, regional, national, and even international – as well as media interviews have identified me as a thought leader in the career management field.Part 2. HELPING OTHERS NAVIGATE MAJOR LIFE TRANSITIONSNow – for the past 10+ years, I have developed a complementary expertise that includes helping individuals through major life transitions, particularly through the grief process. I do this through speaking engagements, facilitating grief support groups, and writing. I educate. My new book, "GRIEVING: A SPIRITUAL PROCESS FOR CATHOLICS,” offers a fresh approach to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. This book combines current best practices for healthy grieving from the mental health field with the deep wisdom of contemporary Christian spirituality. It's a compassionate and reassuring resource for everyone - ideal for those who have lost a loved one, a resource used in grief support groups, a book discussed among friends, a gift, and as a choice of book groups. I am also contributing author for the “Guide for Forming a Parish Bereavement Ministry.” I provided a chapter with an easy-to-implement set-up and facilitation guide for a 7-session grief support group model that I developed. My professional certifications and experience in this area include: Grief Educator Certification Program (with David Kessler); Hospice Volunteer and on the specially trained Vigil Team; Certified Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning Facilitator; and over 60 additional hours of continuing education.AREAS OF EXPERTISE* Consulting* Author / Writer* Keynote Speaker* Public Speaking* Grief and Loss* Hope and Healing* Spirituality* Career Coaching* Career Management* Job Search / Outplacement* Mentor / Coach* Program Development* Group Facilitation* Training
