Paula Kar is Global Head of Product at Northern Trust Asset Management, a leading investment management firm with over $1.3 Trillion in assets worldwide. She leads a global team of investment and product subject matter experts located across the US, EMEA and APAC, responsible for innovation, commercialization, product lifecycle management and governance across all asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Liquidity, Alternatives, etc.), strategies (Indexed, Quantitative, Sustainable Investments) and structures (ETFs, Mutual Funds, CITs, UCITS, SMAs, etc.) for the global Asset Management business of Northern Trust. Ms. Kar is a member of the Executive Committee and the Operating Committee of Northern Trust Asset Management. She is a Director on the Board of Directors for Northern Trust Investments. Previously, Ms. Kar was Head of Product Management at ProShares Advisors, a leading ETF sponsor; and, prior to that, she served as Head of Global Product Management for iShares Fixed Income & Commodities ETFs at BlackRock. Ms. Kar has served as a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company, advising leading asset management and banking firms globally. She started her career with Citigroup in banking. Ms. Kar serves on the Advisory Committee of FTSE Russell, a leading global benchmark provider and subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group. She is deeply committed to the professional development of women in finance and serves on the Global Governance Board of Women in ETFs. She holds an MBA in Finance, graduating with Honors, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
