After formulating the concept for the ZX Spectrum Vega and was asked to create a business with Sir Clive Sinclair, I lead the team which both funded and created the original ZX Spectrum Vega console and media campaign materials. I then lead the team which created the second highly successful funding campaign for the ZX Spectrum Vega+ handheld console. Soon after the campaign started I decided the time was right to move onto other projects, and had nothing to do with that company or its fate past that point.

I co-founded Entain8, and it became the UK's only true multi-format sales and distribution company. We sold a wide range of audio, DVD, and game products, as well as hardware, into all main high street and online retailers. It outlived through extremely hard economic times, many of its peer, and more senior and long established sales and distribution companies, and upon its close much of the Entain8 client base followed me over to Andrews UK Limited, where we offered the same if not better service as was offered at Entain8.

I founded and was the CEO for 5 years of Alten8, during that time I opened a games studio in Asia, later moving the games production fully to the UK. In the course of my time at Alten8 as CEO I licensed in several hundred PC games, created tens of phone games, created many brands, moved the company from just myself to many employees, gained us developer status for - iPhone, GBA, Gamecube, DS, Wii, XBOX, XBOX360, PS2, PS3, and licensed in TV and film content. I created what I hoped would become the true indie games developer but had commercial viability. I am truly greatful to the people who worked with me and for me, and those that placed their trust in me, during this time.

Its4your.com Limited, was founded by myself and two other people, during the start up phase of the dot com boom. We created a string of web sites and concepts, called its4yourhealth.com, its4yourpet.com and so on. This was before social networking and forums became more common. We aimed to float ASAP, and created a reasonable market interest, being featured in newspapers such as The Independant, but sadly the dot com bubble burst, and we was not able to fund the project past that point.

I worked for one of the major blue chip Pharmaceutical companies in the world, having in fact over the years worked for most of them at some point since leaving school. At the point of leaving this position, out of hours, I was the most senior directly employed person on site, covering a complex spanning 100 acres, and worth around $1billion. Covering things as diverse as Cinema buildings, laboratories, incinerators, giant boilers, huge HVAC systems, computer controlled systems, and much much more. In my time I have also worked on production lines, robotic assembly, and just about every type of engineering format you could think of. Also covering areas such as staff management and team leading, health and safety, and most other management functions and skills.

Working as a production engineer at the Brooke Bond factory, I created part of the BS5750 manual and was also instrumental, in the then revolutionary round tea bag production lines.

Starting as an apprentice and worked my way up, I learnt many skills, many trades, and gained many qualifications over the years. I completed the then EITB apprentice which was skill based not time based in what I understand was the fastest time ever for that scheme. I have qualifications in the following areas. Qualified Incorporated Engineer. Post Grad. in Environmental Decision Making. HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Gas ACOPS Certified. Multiple management Qualifications. City and guilds in Electrical Installation Parts 1 – 3. City and Guilds in Electronic Servicing 1 – 2. Numerous other Engineering qualifications. Numerous Health and Safety Qualifications. I also was heavily involved in robotic assembly lines, and robotic manufacture in the mid and late 80's.
