As a business owner, my goal is to make meaningful connections and see our technology being used for good. After all, it was the key motivating factor when my brother and I started mCare Digital – an Australian based IoT company providing technology solutions to assist the elderly, people with disability and those concerned about their personal safety.Since 2012, our company has evolved and operates in both the B2C and B2B space. We are a trusted provider of personal emergency/staff duress alarms to a number of government agencies, elderly care facilities and employers with high-risk job profiles.Our journey of being in business started off with a personal cause – helping our father, Michael to continue living independently after he suffered a stroke. As they say, if it doesn’t exist, create it. So, we’ve launched our very first product, the mCareWatch and it was such a joy seeing our father being empowered because of this life-assisting device.Since then, the mCareWatch evolved, won awards and dare I mention, saved countless lives in circumstances such as domestic violence and high-risk jobs.Prior to me co-founding mCare Digital, I worked as a Marketing and Sales Executive across small and large corporations in industries such as media, retail and personal care.It’s been an interesting journey thus far – one, I wouldn’t want to trade for anything. I’ve learned a lot about myself during my professional career, which in turn helps me empathise with our clients and their care needs. In addition, it made me recognise what kind of a leader I wanted to be.
