Involved in customer demos including direct real-time communication with customer, scheduling, process development, and processing and test/characterization. Tested and qualified toolsets in-house and at customer sites including support for tool facilitation. Played a role in customer support and participated in demo lab facilitation and maintenance. Tested and qualified OEM parts and process chemicals. Had an active involvement in next generation designs and participated in IP/Patent reviews. Contributed to technical publications including company literature, refereed journal and conference proceedings articles. Accomplishment achievements include:- Had a key role in the first demonstration of my company's etch technology as applied to processing of a MEMS device, which showed the feasibility of our technology in MEMS device release processing.- Helped develop a high selectivity (SiO2:Si3N4), high etchrate batch process enabling a major MEMS manufacturer to meet stringent electrical, uniformity and throughput specifications for a 3-axis accelerometer product targeting the consumer gaming industry. - Played a major role in the development of a process that achieved etch rates greater than 0.1 um/min with less than 5% wafer etch uniformities for a major manufacturer of accelerometers for automobile air bag deployment.- Contributed to a process with an order of magnitude of etch rate increase of 0.1 um/min to greater than 1.0 um/min with minimal stiction, for a manufacturer of large area MEMS devices targeting the cell phone industry.- Assisted in streamlining company products to lower manufacturing costs while maintaining performance specifications through the substitution of simpler or more cost effective components
