Creative, driven & highly talented business leader, I have a unique blend of skills and an incredible career journey to date.From my early foundations within the infamous John Caudwell telecoms group, spending over 4 years, and internally promoted three times, I evolved from sales leadership and new business growth to the groups sales director and formed part of the select team that sold the business to PE for £1.64bn.My ability to deliver stakeholder and enterprise value quickly become evident as I enjoyed a further two PE backed assignments, from initial entry to successful sale & exit, with both Mamas & Papas and Breville kitchen appliances.I also wanted to experience a true start up business and had the opportunity to do this with Lord Alan Sugar, his family and his highly experienced board team, many who regularly appear on the UK TV show ‘The Apprentice’ We built a first to market, highly profitable, recurring revenue, global, uk manufactured tech business that is now seen outside most UK supermarkets, global mass retailers and across our high streets. These large format digital outdoor advertising screens are viewed by tens of millions of potential customers every day. We successfully sold the business (sales & marketing elements) to Clear-Channel media for a significant sum.I then joined the UK board of the global FTSE 250 ADT security and aided the takeover by Johnson-JCI USA, with responsibility for all UK residential and SME sales teams as well as the overall UK marketing & strategy teams, over 470 people in total.Most recently I lead over 400 people across 75 trade electrical wholesale outlets, grew digital mix from 2% to 30%, launched a secondary DTC / Pro-DIY Pure-play business, grew sales from £60m to £85m, grew EBIT from loss making to double digit, navigated the challenges of Covid and successfully won ‘Electrical Wholesaler of the year’ by the industries most trusted body. Sitting on the Rexel UK board and a highly valued group ex-com member of this Fortune 500 global leader, I attempted an MBO supported by a leading PE provider which was sadly declined by the board in 2023, I decided to exit the business soon after.My current assignment sees me leading a local family owned business, who are the market leaders within window furnishings, including curtains, blinds & window coverings. We are the ‘Trusted Advisor’s to our trade and retail customers. Our customers range from Screwfix, Wickes & NEXT to global hotel chains, leisure, top end residential & new build homes. our growth plans are set to revolutionise the industry.
