As the Physician Support Coordinator at Houston Methodist Medical Center I improved the use, optimization and adoption of patient centric technologies that are used primarily by physicians and APPs. I provided support to these practitioners and facilitated the adoption and optimal use of clinical documentation and clinical communication systems. I served as a liaison between the hospital’s technical, clinical and administrative entities to bring about a speedy resolution of issues, system change and enhancement requests.

As Peri-Operative Service’s Clinical Liaison, my role was to increase the functionality, usability, value and worth of Epic's OpTime clinical documentation system implemented by Houston Methodist Hospital at the Texas Medical Center. I collaborate with perioperative nursing, anesthesia, management and IT professionals to assess and evaluate the efficacy of clinical patient care documentation systems, patient records, clinical practice standardization, clinical workflow and perioperative patient throughput. I have a broader responsibility to improve intra and inter departmental communications by maximizing the functionality of the system.

As an anesthesia information systems consultant I worked with Dräger’s Innovian and Picis Anesthesia Manager systems. This entailed implementation of major system upgrade of the Innovian software at multiple VA and DOD facilities. I also worked with the Department of Anesthesia at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY to manage, trouble shoot, refine and optimize Anesthesia Manager at multiple hospitals there.

- Primary systems developer for VISN (region) 4’s implementation of their anesthesia, Pre-Op, Post-Op and Critical Care system. - Successfully implemented the Picis EHR system multiple VISN hospitals.- Perform enterprise wide system design, configuration, testing, training and support for all phases of implementation. - Wrote course content, training material, user competencies and trained over 160 employees during go live. - Created best practices for documentation and clinical practices. - Primary VISN 4 and national coordinator for standardizing system design and usability requirement for the anesthesia system.

Clinical Process Consultant:- Numerous successful implemented Anesthesia Manager, PACU Manager and and Critical Care Manager throughout North America.- System build and design expert; specifically application templates, database content, system and workstation configuration and training from basic user to systems administrator level.- Frequent customer interaction at all levels including clinical staff, physicians, managers, directors, administration, information technology staff and so forth. - Created standardize task list to define time requirements for project planning and establishing reasonable milestone timelines for project managers. - Expert at perioperative and anesthesia work flow analysis. Each customer is different and has specific needs that are embedded in their organization. I’ve been successful at creating workflows that maximizes the functionality of the application without adding scope creep or impacting the project time line. - Created standardized product testing scripts for Picis products. - Performed product demonstrations for all levels at customer sites. - Guided key decision makers and stake holders in making good decisions related implementing Picis products. Authored many practice documents that was made sent to our customers

• Successfully implement Epic Ambulatory EMR at multiple physician practices through out the University of Pennsylvania Health System. • Performed system design, maintenance and configuration to accommodate physician order entry requirements. • Created best practices for Epic configuration to minimize duration of roll out of the Epic Ambulatory EMR.

• Dramatically reduced the time it took to produce daily, monthly and quarterly reports. • Improved the information flow within the organization to optimize payer reimbursement entitlements and at the same time improved the quality of patient care services. • Established best practice guidelines for Utilization and Risk Management modules of the software. • Optimized flow and utilization of information by defining and testing HL7 interface requirements.• Designed custom reports to meet a wide range clinical and financial needs. • Implemented provider credentialing software at multiple sites. • Analysis of ORYX indicators for submission to JCAHO for facility credentialing.
