CurrentAs the ATO began to define its digital strategy and reposition itself as a partner to its clients, I was appointed to lead a turnaround of a stalled project leveraging Agile methodology to transform inbound paper processing operations, progressing to managing the BAU payments platform. I developed both short and long-term strategic plans for the ATO’s paper processing service, revenue and payment systems, including an outsourcing/procurement process for Tier 1 vendors. With 4 direct and up to >140 indirect reports, I implemented a technology solution to significantly improve the processing of paper payments.• Significantly increased processing speed and decreased average handling time by deploying a technology solution, boosting delivery capacity through the use of Agile methodology;• Brought the ATO’s Reserve Bank of Australia’s critical payment system back online following an outage, maintaining a highly important payments infrastructure enabling the Australian government;• Empowered staff by enlisting their help to define service delivery plans, driving performance by aligning service goals with individual goals that delivered on client experience outcomes.
