To transition! I am working for change in how we organise health and education in our society. I am currently leading the MSc Healthy Ageing Professional at the Hanze university in Groningen. This master is a fine example of a broad interprofessional community developing and researching innovative learning strategies in the field of sustainability transitions and social innovations. In our master the aim is to reposition and reorganise health in society. I believe professionals have a key role in this change to better governance and better education. For this education needs to re-invent itself. I especially see a major role for more contextualised and more collaborative learning. Universities of applied science and especially the Hanze University is a frontrunner in facilitating learning by both embedding and integrating education and research in real practice.
