I currently co-own an internal service within the AWS Fintech organization, aimed at improving the efficiency and speed at which we enable our teams at the intersection of AWS and Finance.

I co-own the AWS Well-Architected service, which helps provide customers with best practices for developing cloud-based architectures. This entails* Continual release of reliable, scalable, and impactful features that will delight our customers and improve their experience building in the cloud.* Maintaining a high bar for quality and operational practices* Developing and growing my 2-pizza team of engineers* Working cross-team with stakeholders to ensure features meet expectations and we effectively collaborate toward shared goals

* Delivering multiple high-quality XR product launches with an expanded team of over 30 people, including web, mobile, cloud backend, DevOps and DevSecOps resources* Governance of organization’s multimillion dollar budget and procurement process for the last 2 years* Successfully hired roughly 25 engineers to date through ownership of recruitment and resource management pipeline* Facilitate ongoing team operations and problem solving capabilities and mentorship through strong self-motivation and emotional intelligence

Led a diverse team of highly skilled cloud backend engineers whose job is to build, deploy and maintain a platform for creating and serving augmented reality experiences to our customers. Using a 100% cloud-based AWS architecture, we created a highly reliable, scalable, and performant microservice platform, all while following NIST 800-53 security best practices. Frequently led recurring cost optimizations efforts, resulting in reduced costs of 30-65% via scheduled shutdowns, instance right-sizing, service re-architecture, RI purchasing, etc. I also lent significant expertise and oversight to efforts to improve our Agile sprints and development process, formalize our code management best practices, and widen our CI/CD footprint to reduce test variances and improve the quality, reliability, speed and efficiency of deployments.I also managed procurement and budgeting functions for our organization, facilitating our multi-million dollar budget and executive reporting and forecasting.

Managed a small group of people focusing on Android device performance improvement and enhancing overall customer satisfaction and value, through the use of big data technologies and analytics. I've also managed and led several different projects and initiatives, engaging multiple teams across multiple business units and external companies towards common goals. Prior to this, I also owned and managed the OEM requirements for the native Email application on all Verizon Wireless devices. I regularly interfaced with external OEM contacts and governed compliance and clarifications to requirements. I worked with OEMs on implementing exciting and meaningful features with a focus on customer experience and ease of use.
