Design and implement a strategy to change production mindset from traditional static build methodology to linear production on an assembly line to increase production capacity from 15 to 200 units per year. Develop Just-In-Time material flow systems throughout the supply chain and into the production system to enable consistent and repeatable flow of finished products, on time, on budget, to the desired quality standard with zero injuries.

Lead a team to deliver sustainable cost and revenue improvements using Lean thinking techniques across the Jetstar group of airlines.Supporting the Jetstar group of airlines focussing on the delivery of sustainable cost and revenue improvementsUsing a pedigree of global business experience to identify strategies to improve areas of the Jetstar business, drive transformational activity and create a culture that challenges the status quo. A key focus is to ensure implementation and execution success of process improvement and cost reduction projects. Responsible for the design and delivery of the program including training, coaching and project delivery including Robotics and Innovation across the group of Jetstar airlines.

Overall management of Innovation and Analytics encompassing 3 teams; Lean, Automation & Data Science to provide specialised services across the Jetstar group airlines to deliver sustainable improvements across the business scorecard.

Responsible for design, development and implementation of the Continuous Improvement strategy throughout both Cork Supply and Studio Labels businesses with full end to end value stream responsibility.

Deploying Lean and Continuous Improvement thinking on Collins Class Submarine and Air Warfare Destroyer projects to deliver products fit for purpose with increasing value for money framework achieved through targeted delivery of project results, training and mentoring. Delivered in excess of $30m in direct savings across Submarine maintenance and Destroyer shipbuilding projects.

Development, co-ordination and implementation of a National Continuous Improvement strategy to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives across Australian and New Zealand manufacturing sites to deliver savings in excess of $40m through the elimination of internal process waste and improve quality performance year on year by 50%.Build, manage and mentor the Asia Pacific improvement team to help achieve site, state and divisional objectives. Management of all operational projects including contingency planning, capital planning and operational improvements. These includes strategic projects to better service the customer base, implementation of capital equipment and the development of business diagnostics systems that direct improvement projects to deliver objectives.To lead and support diverse strategic projects to deliver sustainable improvements in operational performance and capability at individual and multi plant levels across the entire group of sites throughout Asia Pacific.

Develop proposals and deliver results to client management teams and to deploy Lean / Operational Excellence strategies throughout client organisations. • Manufacturing: Factory layout re design for a global manufacturer relocating to a Greenfield site. • Civil & Military Aerospace: Improving maintenance operations for global airlines to reduce turn around times and associated costs.• Rail: Delivery, cost and quality improvements of maintenance, repair and overhaul providers to major rail network customers.• Automotive: Improvements to a global auto manufacturers supply chain operations in areas including Quality, Capacity, Cost reduction, JIT implementation and elimination of waste.• Hospitals: Reducing patient waiting times for emergency and general surgery, improving the quality of care to patients by removing unnecessary process wastes in daily tasks for specialists, doctors and nurses.• Government office and Australian Defence Force: Improving current practices by eliminating wastes and streamlining processes to reduce lead times and associated operating costs for government departments.

Supplier Development Engineer within the Purchasing Division, managing a portfolio of tier 1 suppliers across the Asia Pacific region supplier based teams, responsibilities included:• Lead new model introduction at supplier manufacturing facilities.• Developing suppliers to deliver quality improvements using lean manufacturing and 6 Sigma philosophies.• Support Ford Manufacturing Operations current model production.• Support Ford Purchasing to achieve Total Cost Reduction targets by focusing on supplier sites to introduce and develop lean manufacturing initiatives.• Used within the STA team as a Subject Matter Expert in Lean Manufacturing principles to develop the Ford Australia STA team with lean manufacturing training.

Initially a graduate Engineer where I passed through the 2 year development programme to become a Specialist Engineer, with immediate responsibility within vehicle manufacturing. Various rotating roles in Production Control, Vehicle Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and Purchasing Supplier Production Management.
